Monumentum is the act of pausing, halting the productive flow to open up zones of meaning in the everyday, leaving room for abandonment and the dreamlike dimension. With its time course enclosed in the pure dance of an ensemble, it expresses the plural articulation of human relations and reveals other levels of communication and language, beyond the fence of the useful.\nCristina Kristal Rizzo, a dancemaker based in Florence, has been active on the live arts performance scene since the early 1990s and is among the founders of the historic Kinkaleri collective. Since 2008 she has undertaken an autonomous path of choreographic production directed toward a theoretical reflection with a strong dynamic impact, aimed at opening reflections on the present time.\n
