SUMMARY:ON MOBILISATION | GATHERING POINT
DESCRIPTION:On Mobilisation is a medium-scale international cooperation project supported by the European Commission’s Creative Europe programme\nPartners: Baltic Art Center, Visby (SE); Out of Sight, Antwerp (BE); Divadlo X10, Prague (CZ); BLOK — Local Base for Culture Refreshment, Zagreb (HR)\nWhat conditions must be met to foster a strong sense of initiative among all those involved, and to create fertile ground for collective authorship and shared futures? How can we conceive of artistic work as reality-oriented – directly engaging with social and political practices, as articulated by artist Paweł Althamer in projects such as *Common Task* (2009) and *Motion Pictures* (2020)? And how can we remain agile and resilient, if not through collective effort and shared responsibility? Through “On Mobilisation. Towards Multivocal Collaborative Futures” – encompassing informal study circles, transnational assemblies, collective residencies, and participatory events – we explore how collaborative artistic practices can generate long-term, regenerative impacts on future (eco)systems through the creation of art. Our goal is to develop methodologies that serve as qualitative, adaptive frameworks, allowing collective intelligence and creativity to emerge in an organic – and often joyful – way.\nThroughout 2026, the partners have scheduled a series of “Study Circles” – moments of horizontal research involving dedicated working groups. For Lavanderia a Vapore, the group consists of Elisabetta Consonni, Chiara Organtini, Jija Sohn, and Salvo Lombardo. From November 2 to 6, 2026, at Lavanderia a Vapore, this “Study Circle” format will take the form of a “Gathering Point” – an expanded, live meeting structured as a collective residency.\n
