The call for applications for the 5th edition of the Nouveau Grand Tour residency program in Italy is now open!
The Nouveau Grand Tour is an artistic residency program between France and Italy, launched in 2022. It is part of the Quirinale Treaty and involves public institutions from both countries. The Nouveau Grand Tour is a program that concretely implements bilateral cultural cooperation: it supports mobility, fosters artistic research, and strengthens cultural relations between France and Italy.
Two separate calls for applications are published each year: one for the mobility of French artists in Italy, the other for the mobility of Italian artists in France.
This call is aimed at French artists wishing to benefit from a research period in Italy.
- 25 selected artists
- 1-month residency in Italy (between September and December)
- All disciplines
- 20 partner locations throughout Italy
Applicants must:
- Be under 36 years of age on the start date of the residency;
- Be a French citizen or have resided in France for at least three years;
- Be able to provide proof of civil insurance;
- Be fluent in English and/or Italian
The Nouveau Grand Tour is made possible by the support of the Institut français, within the Fabrique des Résidences, and by the ARDIAN company.
Applications are open until Wednesday, May 6th (11:59 PM CEST). To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you apply late.
