IL CORPO INTUITIVO – COME TOGETHER

Practices on unison and reconciliation: workshop curated by Daniele Ninarello and aimed at developing new collective practices for a dance of liberation

The project stems from the desire to bring bodies back into harmony and empathy through sensory experiences and to stimulate the creation of a personal movement that offers itself to the community. The project offers meetings dedicated to research in the field of performance, starting from the sharing of certain movement practices with dancers, movers, artists and enthusiasts. Through various collective activities, the intention is to reflect on the idea of cooperation and participation, on returning to proceeding together in an environment where our thinking realigns with our feelings to encourage bodies to proceed constantly together, without however renouncing their own experience and subjective exploration. In the system that is created, participants will be invited to incorporate the information coming from the bodies that pass through and animate it. This mechanism activates their mobility and the possibility of translating in real time the body’s desire to move, to release an impulse and, at the same time, to receive and encourage others to construct this liberating dance, which appears in its becoming as a collection of the passages of others.

Daniele Ninarello, associate artist at Lavanderia a Vapore 2018-2020, has created, among other productions, “Rock Rose Wow” (2013), winner of Movin’Up, Bando Teatri del Tempo Presente; “KUDOKU”, which debuted at the Venice Dance Biennale 10; and Pastorale, selected for the ResidanceXL initiative of the Anticorpi Network. As a choreographer, Ninarello has collaborated with, among others, the EgriBiancoDanza company; the MM Contemporary Dance Company; students at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam; on the European project “PerformingGender Dancing in your shoes” at the invitation of Gender Bender; and for the Experimental Theatre of Tirana, in collaboration with the IIC in Tirana.
