One Strike Salvation is a ceremony in chapters that combines dance, song, spoken text and ritual objects. The work investigates the limbo state following migration, questioning the sense of belonging and identity. It explores the polarity between mourning and joy through the Israeli ritual in which Remembrance Day (Yom HaZikaron) is immediately followed by Independence Day (Yom HaAtzmaut), embodying the contradiction between sacrifice and celebration. The choreography confronts the symbols of ancient and modern Jewish tradition, with the gap between the biblical promised land and contemporary Israel, perceived as corrupt or unliveable. Is it possible to create a ritual that rejects national identity and at the same time manages to unite people?

Yotam Peled is a choreographer and dancer with a background combining circus, martial arts and rave culture. In 2018, he founded Yotam Peled & the Free Radicals at the Hanover State Opera, a collective that explores the transformative power of movement by addressing themes of gender, power and community rituality. His work creates performative universes between utopia and dystopia, using a body language that pushes the body to its limits.
Nitzan Moshe is an artist and performer who has been active for over twenty years. She began her dance training at the municipal ballet centre and HaRishonim middle school. She continued her dance studies in the dance department of Mosinzon High School, supplementing her training with evening courses at the “Tzeadim” and Rose K performing arts schools. With roots in the Israeli and international contemporary scene, her work focuses on memory, identity and bodily narration. Nitzan and Yotam have known each other since around 2003, having met in the Israeli socialist youth movement, and have been collaborating artistically since 2019. “One Strike Salvation” is their first official co-creation.
