Workspace Ricerca X is now in its tenth edition. In 2025, it will celebrate its first 10 years of activity: research residencies, landscapes of practices, lecture-performances, publications, residencies of thought, research camping, feedback practices, writing practices, attention practices, workshops and laboratories, lectures and symposiums, fictional parties.
Over the past ten years, Ricerca X has imagined, articulated, and implemented alternative ways of being together, resolutely defending the space, role, and functions of artistic research within the performing arts ecosystem. It has trained critical thinking as a way of reading the present and as a springboard for imagining future trajectories and new paths. It has created spaces, expanded times, and welcomed artists and allies, who in turn have given the project new visions, relaunching the future of this space that is both solid and changeable at the same time.
By extending an invitation to go through a process of self-reflection, the project activates the desire to look inward in order to relaunch outward. Within the rigour of a format, finding interstices that allow us to experiment with new paths, retrace old ones, invent new ones, and overturn coordinates.

Workspace Ricerca X – Research and Dramaturgy is a platform for the development and support of artistic research and dramaturgy in the field of choreography and performance. Founded in 2016 with the aim of disseminating, questioning, and legitimizing artistic research in the Italian context, it is aimed at professionals in the field of dance and performing arts.
Workspace Ricerca X is driven by the desire to consolidate a culture of artistic research in Italy, creating spaces in which to practice an alternative approach to work, focused on forging alliances and circulating knowledge generated in artistic practices.
