Winner of the UBU 2024 Award \u2013 Best Dance Performance<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>REGIONAL PREMIERE<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em><span class=\"engtxt\">duration<\/span><\/em>\u00a055&#8242;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Cani Lunari.\u00a0<\/strong>On stage, the five stunning performers of Stuporosa \u2013 winner of the Ubu Award for Best Show 2024 \u2013 present a new creation by Marilungo, in which they take on the roles of contemporary witches, amidst rituals, limping, trance-like states and frenzied laughter. Crows, stones and elaborate costumes intertwine with Vera Di Lecce\u2019s soundscape. House dance, natural sounds, chants and magic spells give shape to a score suspended between the earthly and the divine.\u00a0 When the full moon is refracted by ice crystals, luminous halos form: the moon dogs. In this performance, the natural phenomenon interpreted through folk tradition becomes the key to unlocking the imagery of the archaic feminine and the magical knowledge associated with it.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<footer class=\"entry-footer\"><\/footer>\n<\/article>\n<p><\/main><\/div>\n<aside id=\"secondary\" class=\"widget-area\"><\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<footer id=\"colophon\" class=\"site-footer\">\n<div class=\"footer-content\">\n<div class=\"container container-fluid col-md-12\">\n<h5 class=\"col-md-3 footeruno\"><strong>Francesco Marilungo<\/strong>. an artist affiliated with the K\u00f6rper National Production Centre, has been selected for Anticorpi XL, NID Platform, Short Theatre, Inteatro Festival, Prospettiva Danza and IRA Platform, winning numerous awards, including the 2024 UBU Prize for Best Dance Performance for Stuporosa.<br \/>\nHis work is supported by national and international networks and residency and distribution programmes, consolidating K\u00f6rper\u2019s role as a leading organisation for the production, development and dissemination of contemporary auteur dance.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nVera Di Lecce<\/strong>\u00a0is a singer, musician and performer who blends tradition and experimentation into a personal musical language, combining hybrid electronic sounds, world percussion and synths. Originally from Puglia and now based in Rome, she began her artistic journey within the Salento tradition and collaborated with artists such as Nidi d\u2019Arac, Cesare Basile and Alfio Antico, before launching her solo project in 2012. Following the EP Heavy Butterflies (2012) and the album 29 Seconds (2015), produced by Martyn Heyne (Efterklang), she developed an independent artistic direction that blends experimental pop, electronic music and performances with a strong ritualistic impact. Her timeless voice traverses medieval, traditional and contemporary alt-pop influences.
