“SPORES INSTALLATION” – Body landscapes. Collective movement. Story-telling and shared perspectives
What if we could consider our bodies as landscapes?
SPORES is an invitation to step outside, to move through natural and hybrid spaces — parks, gardens, open countryside — and explore together what it means to become part of a landscape, through interconnecting practices.
We are looking for movement enthusiasts, landscape lovers, dance students, and anyone drawn to the question: how might we inhabit the spaces around us differently? How can a gathering of bodies, stories, objects, breaths and matter compose itself into something living, non-hierarchical, something “more than human”?
Together, we will explore (gentle) choreographic practices that don’t place the human at the centre but instead put it in relation with the ground, the light, the wind, and each other.
We will talk and share stories about our ways to get in relation with plants, animals and other forms of life. We will draw, we will play, we will listen and observe.
The workshop will take place within the frame of the artistic residency of Demestri+Lefeuvre, hosted by Lavanderia a Vapore and aimed at developing their next creation as a participative project.
No experience required. Just a desire to move, to observe, to connect, be present.
The Demestri+Lefeuvre company brings to life the artistic projects of French-Argentinian dancers and choreographers Florencia Demestri and Samuel Lefeuvre. In recent years, they have embarked on a series of creations that question the imaginings on which we build our relationship with the world and life. Demestri+Lefeuvre are artists associated with Charleroi Danse, Choreographic Centre of the FWB – 2023-2026. The company is supported by GRAND STUDIO in Brussels. Florencia Demestri and Samuel Lefeuvre were part of the Grand Luxe network of artists in 2024 and have been selected to be part of the EMERGE network for the next four years – 2024-2028. The Demestri+Lefeuvre company is supported by the FWB, the WBTD and the WBI.
