In full swing, halfway through, the slowdown. The accident. The announced show cannot take place. We will have to make do with what we have, dance what we can dance. In a different way. The show will go on. Somehow.
Starting from a physical injury, a new choreography develops based on constraint and the unpredictable. We thus witness a eulogy to minimalism that opposes the capitalist logic that pushes for the complete exhaustion of resources.
In dialogue with Jonathan Burrows’ choreographer’s “Manuel,” Thalia offers us uneven reflections on the difficulty of moving forward, on stage and in life.

Choreographer and performer, with a degree in dramaturgy from the École Normale Supérieure, Thalia Pigier founded the company Projet Total in 2021. She is an artist associated with the European interdisciplinary research program Circus Without Circus and Live Works’ Fellow at Centrale Fies (IT) in 21-23. She created “Le Soleil de Minuit,” a traveling performance in public spaces for six dancers for Nuit Blanche 2023. In 2024, she created “Celle qui part n’est pas disparue” at the Operaestate Festival in Bassano del Grappa, a solo accompanied by electric guitar that deals with cultural heritage, the memory of marginalized bodies, and attempts at flight. This piece echoes a series of performances entitled “TENTATIVES D’ENVOL,” 2018. In 2024, she is a finalist, with “La Danse de la jeunesse,” at the Solo Tanz Theater International Festival in Stuttgart. She is also the winner of the Beaumarchais scholarship for Of Gold and Mud 26-27.
Enriched by her triple French-Colombian-queer culture, she works on the relationships between movement and words, plants and performers in her creations. Her works are transdisciplinary and fragmentary, with dance, theater, and music blending together without hierarchy.
