PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES IS FREE WITH RESERVATION VIA FORM

For its fourth edition, Research Camping transforms the spaces of the Lavanderia a Vapore nave, from the foyer to the theatre, into hybrid environments between fiction and reality, which become devices for the exchange and dissemination of artistic research processes. Camping not only hosts research, but also constitutes research in itself, reaching out to the imagination of social and political alternatives.

Research Camping 2025 investigates sliding as a posture and relational dynamic, as the anatomy of interdependence, thematically articulating the inclination towards what is other, unfamiliar, the circularity of sharing and failure – the ultimate slip – as privileged powers to symbolically rewrite a new world that draws on the old, on the roots of being together and ancient economies.
The environments of this edition that embody these dynamics are the shop and the slide: spatialities that encourage slopes, that solicit new modes of relationship and negotiation of precarious balances and invite us to rethink the forms of sharing practices and materials in the choral dimension of Camping. These environments will be activated by the sharing of research practices and materials, open to the temporary community of artist-researchers, participants and visitors.
