ABOUT

As archaeologists, we live all the experiences that pass through Lavanderia a Vapore, collecting what remains of dance: questions, words, sensations, images, affects, veiled clues, suspended threads, forgotten things. We gently pick up and care for these traces, alive and organic, that through the practice of documenting, are handled and composted in an alchemic process that gives life to a digital archive of disorienting beauty. The documentation unearths how the relationships and invitations of artistic research travel in bodies and continue to work inside and outside of us, transforming us.

Three times per season, a temporary manifest is published, suggesting a key and a thematic trajectory of the accumulated contents. The blog becomes a special archive with an intuitive and fluid approach to generating and organising knowledge from experience.

The reader is welcome to wander into a landscape of multilayered materials, displaced without hierarchies, where to dive in and create connections.

KADRI SIREL – EUGENIA COSCARELLA

Kadri Sirel and Eugenia Coscarella are two artists who met at Lavanderia a Vapore, where they have been collaborating since 2023. Together, they develop artistic processes and documentation practices through a choreographic approach, giving life to the Blog of Lavanderia a Vapore as well as to archival practices and installations presented during the venue’s public events. Both projects unfold through alchemical processes and composting techniques
