ABOUT

What remains?

It’s a question that guides the blog of Lavanderia a Vapore, shaping itself around documentation practices that witness choreographic processes in the studio at their most vulnerable, embryonic stage. By suggesting reimagining dance documentation as a collection of remains: embodied traces, affects and inklings, the blog seeks to unearth the relational field between the dancer and the witness as organic matter, as a landscape of learning and generating knowledge.

The blog becomes a special archive with a fluid approach to organising knowledge. The temporary Manifests behave as thematic trajectories and monthly filters that promote plural perspectives to access contents that, with specific attention to the poetry of materials, wonder how dance affects bodies and how the traces it leaves continue to operate in the world. The reader is welcome to wander into a landscape of multilayered materials, displaced without hierarchies where to immerse, dive in and create connections.
